I haven't sample enough hosts since I got back into domains. GoDaddy been pretty good and I am now using Netfirms. I got 6 domains at $10 each for a year. The bandwidth is limited but it permits me to experiment. I have the first of the site up now and they seem to offer everything GD does.

GoDaddy is just slightly more professional and slightly more shown on TV then Netfirms, thats why they can charge the price they do. People will still be coming.
I personally use Netfirms and Godaddy a lot for my domains. For .info domains I choose other registrars often though as there are many great 1 USD specials out there for .info domains which neither registrar have.
Directi have been reliable for me, but with anything these days some have good experience and others have bad experience.
Try and avoid companies who are resellers and deal direct at the highest level you can for each TLD, this way you have less red-tape, that may mean having multiple registrar accounts, but a decent billing system should be able to cope with this.
I am pretty lazy and usually go to godaddy. Just like going to google for seach engines. But if someone can refer me to something better, I will more than listen. I appreciate the suggestions above!
