Default Trusting web hosts

Wehn we host our website with someone we are placing a lot of trust in them by uploading our and our customers private information on their servers, do you thinkwe can trust our hosts with important information or should we use our own servers for critical data?

Well I dont have critical information in my host, no creditcards numbers for example.

I think you have to be carefully if you site contain this kind of info.

You have nothing to worry about, as long as you only give them what they need. EG Name, DOB etc.

It can be very dangerous because some hacker could easily get some private information and use it against you or harm you.. There are guys who can break into big and highly secured companies and steal a lot of valuable information.. so we just have to hope that we are not that interesting to them

The one thing you should always look for that many hosts dont have is a secure area for giving your card details. if you dont see the https at the start dont use it.
