Default True Cost

Given that in the FAQ it states 'initial expense are high,' I'm wondering how high the prices actually are? What is a real, actual estimate of price for a co-located server? Is it feasible for a small to mid-size business?

For the small buisness I would say NO - okay, you can get a server on eBay... But then you have to hope it's not goosed an!
New kit can be rather expensive depending on what you want to do with it...??? A simple backup or file server should be quite reasonable, but a serious webserver (Xeon or above) can cost quite a lot - try Dell for prices.

Wouldn't it be easier to rent the co-location servers instead of having to get all the initial outlay in investing in equipment which is going to depreciate?
