Shared can be good

Shared hosting is often a good service. It is more affordable than many other options while still generally offering a variety of features and reliable service.

Shared is great if you run only one site. I run a lot of sites so a reseller is my only real option.

yeah with blogs becoming 'fashionable' shared hosting is a cheap way to get your message out there... at least for those who want a site dedicated to their blog

Chistopher2k7 has a point. If you run too many sites then is cheaper if you have a reseller account.

I agree with everyone. If your site is still small then shared hosting is good. Once it gets better, VPS should follow soon for better security.
