LiquidWeb offer a good customer-centered care over a generally consumer-friendly range of services.
Unlike many webhosts, LiquidWeb do use their own datacenter, which has been built into a strong network connection over the years.
They were the first company I leased a managed dedicated server from, and have had absolutely no real problems since. This is despite that the server hosts
Threadwatch, which has seen repeated Slashdotting (sudden high traffic surges) as well as being blogrolled by Yahoo! and Ask Jeeves.
Performance has been good, and support has been responsive - on a couple of sensitive issues I was able to ring when it was the middle of the night in Chicago, and still get a friendly voice to help in their support dept.
Overall, I have no problems recommending LiquidWeb on my experiences so far, which at the time of writing is almost exactly one-year of dedicated hosting with them.
