Default Is it possible

I know a lot of times when you have free hosting you receive a free sub domain. Are there free hosting options that allow you to use a domain you have purchased?

I think there are some out there that do that, and even if your current free host doesn't allow you to change the domain, have you considered using the forwarding service that your domain registrar provides - its not the ideal solution, but it should work.

That's what I did for a while. I had a free host and a free domain. Put them together and voila, free site

What hosting and domain companies did you use, paperclip? Did they put ads on your site?

I find that with free sites you tend to get what you pay for!

Basically going with a free site cheapens the site branding. Don't look at saving a buck look at what will help add quality.

Not when you are using a free one. I think you have to use t a sub domain name all the time from what I know. If you want to use your domain name of course you have to pay for it.
