Default Internet Explorer Vs Firefox

I'm new to the forum & I love online debates so I thought I would kick off my first post with this, I only just downloaded firefox and i love it, my vote goes to firefox and i will never go back! I mainly like it because it has tabbed browsing, its fast, includes spell checking, you can add extra plugins & extensions! if you use firefox already, upgrade to firefox 2 now, if you don't have it yet, download it FREE from: Firefox

Which do you prefer? please cast your vote & give your views...

I have used IE for years. I am currently using 7Pro, and it seems to be working okay. I do also use FF for some things, but I like the features in IE.

I'm loyal to IE. Currently I'm running IE7. I've tried Firefox but just didn't like it as much as I like IE. I had the same issues years ago with Netscape.

I love the new features of IE 7 pro. I do have a sleeping copy of firefox, just in case. I'd rather have it and not need it....than need it and not have it.

I had been using IE for more than 15 years and for a change tried FireFox last year and still using it because of its good features.

I think the 1st graphical browser I used was Mosaic on a Mac in about 92/93, this graphical thingy didn't impress me though, I was a keen ftp /gopher user at the time.

All our local sites had a whopping 2Mb link between them and we had a whole 128K link to the USA - those were the days the joys of working for a communications company. Until the early 90's Internet email was only via an IBM mainframe in the USA and files were sent as ASCII using UUENCODE - what luxury when we got a local SMTP gateway on a nearby site.

The kids thought I was winding them up when I said the 1st computers I was a system admin for took up a whole room, fortunately there's a good selection of VAX photos on Google.

Never did get the VAX linked up the Internet (probably due to the government work on the system). All this time later and we're still running most things on a 32bit OS though.

I use Mozilla Firefox. In my opinion, firefox is the best web browser. It is very user friendly. This web browser is faster, more secure, and fully customizable to online life. Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and a search system that uses Google. Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and many other Unix-like operating systems.

FF is much supirior, as it has so many AddOn's that help u through the web and espcially as a WebDev person.

As to IE comptability - It has the IETab add-on which cancels the need for the IE (Altough it is IE6 and not IE7).
