Default how to get a secondary domain name picked up

by google. Hi all we have a secondary domain name tha points at our original site. How do we get this picked up quickly and will it help with search results? any advice?

be cautious over duplicate content, usually a 301 redirect will do the trick.

How to pick the right name? Brainstorm it. ... you buy a domain name, the registrar asks for a primary and secondary IP address...
