Initial Setup:

• Operating System Install and configuration.
• WHM & Cpanel installation and configuration.
• Hostname & Nameserver setup (including DNS setup).
• 3rd Party software installation (including Zend, GD, ImageMagick etc).
• Remote backup setup with daily, weekly and monthly backups.

Security Setup:

• CHKRootKit - detects hacker software.
• Rootkit Hunter - scans your system for backdoor exploits etc.
• Securing SSH - includes changing the common SSH port, setting the system to report all root logins and logging and tracing all login attempts.
• APF Firewall - blocks unused ports to prevent hacker intrusion.
• BFD - works with APF to prevent Brute Force Attacks (commonly used attack).
• Log Analysis software - emails us daily with any usual server activity.
• System Integrity Monitor - monitors the various services on your server and attempts to restart them should they fail.
• SPRI - changes the priority of certain processes on the server to increase performance.
• MySQL tweaking to increase performance.
• host.conf hardening - helps prevent dns lookup poisoning and spoofing.
• sysctl.conf hardening - helps stop TCP/IP stack attacks.
• FTP hardening - securing your FTP server.
• Removal of unused software - most operating systems automatically install software that is not needed, we remove these to speed up your server.
• Shell Fork Bomb Protection - stops a user logged into "shell" from using up all the servers resources.
• MyTOP - monitors MySQL processes and threads.
• TMP directory hardening - the /tmp directory is commonly used to attack a server, we harden this directory to stop this.
• Password Scanner - scans for common passwords used on your server.
• Firewall Admin - configure the firewall through WHM!

Ongoing Support:

• Ticket based helpdesk system for ANY problem with your server and software.
• Monthly server security review.
• Performance issues investigated (log analysis etc).
• Server is monitored from several remote locations every 5 minutes, we currently monitor HTTP, SSH, and SMTP (email) and if any of these services fails THREE times in a row then we will automatically reboot your server.
• Restoration of Backups.
• Transfering accounts (this applies to accounts currently hosted elsewhere on cPanel accounts although we will try our best to migrate accounts off other hosting platforms).

These servers are located in the UK - in the Redbus facility in London's docklands... Each server is connected by it's own 100mbit switch which in turn is connected to 2 seperate 1gbit aggregation switches.
