Free Hosting Without Ads

Hello forum members,

Is it possible to find any free hosting for a website which does not involve those terrible advertisements? I guess it's not possible but I would love to know in case it is possible somewhere.

I'm sure there is one somewhere, but i wouldn't host a site on a free host with or without ads.

How will the host pay their server rent without either a monthly fee or some revenue from ad clickthru?

If you value your site, then a few £/month is not much for a decent host. I'd be cautious over paying much less than this though as the host may not be overselling.

There are some hosts that offer free without ads, but they also either have some paid plans for when free users run out of resources which will be low to start with.

2. I have seen get free hosting via posting on forums. X amount of posts = X hosting plan.

I've never understood why people go with hosts that use paid hosting to pay for their free hosting.

Forum posting for web space has got to be the most lame idea, you're forced to be a part of a community who have only joined so that they can get ads displayed on the forum and they can get a bit of free hosting. You'll need to spend a reasonable time each month on the forum to get some hosting space.

You can get decent paid hosting for less than 30 mins at the UK's minimum wage per month, far less than the monthly broadband costs that most people pay.

Heart Internet offer a free hosting package without any adverts, unlimted email addresses and £300 worth of software. The catch? Only 100Mb of bandwidth per month.

So it's really £300 of software? Think again, they'd be out of business in 5 mins if this was the case. Just like all those spams offering $500 software for a few $'s, the software may have a list of $500 but who actually buys it?

Heart also offer unlimited resellers and unlimited shared hosting.

Beware of marketing hype

You cannot get rid of those ads with free hosting. The only way out is to opt for paid hosting.
