Cpanel suspension
Uh-oh - currently trying to install Google Sitemps plugin for vbulletin on the server, but now getting the following message in Cpanel:
Quote:
Sorry for the inconvience!
The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operation has been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition.

Re: Cpanel suspension
Okay, that's fun - after moving my sites out of Voxtreme, I'm not sure who this account is now with!!

Re: Cpanel suspension
Okay, figured it out - it's actually with Clook. Surprised, and contacted them.

Re: Cpanel suspension
I've always heard good things about Clook, hopefully this is a 1 off.

Re: Cpanel suspension
CPanel is running fine again now. Surprised as well, as wouldn't normally expect such an issue with Clook.

Good to see that you're running again.

Re: Cpanel suspension
Moments like these remind to do a backup in phpmyadmin.

Re: Cpanel suspension
Have you actually confirmed that you can re-load the backup ? If the data's that critical, then I'd advise you do the occasional test restore to a local system.

Re: Cpanel suspension
No problem, I've had to do a few restores before - small forums are fine as you can do a SQL dump from phpmyadmin easily enough - but larger ones I tend to rely on the CPanel backup feature, and use it regularly.

Re: Cpanel suspension
I'd ask your provider for direct MySQL access to the server, then use the MySQLAdmin tool from your desktop

Re: Cpanel suspension
Visit http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/ and download it. It's free, simple to use & setup. The Query Browser is also worth getting hold of.
These 2 are much nice than using something like phpmyadmin.
