best site that allows image linking?

I'm wondering what the best place is to host a site for free that allows direct linking to images and stuff on there. Most don't allow that now (geocities, angelfire etc) - which ones do?

So you want an actual webhost who is free and allows image linking? I did not know that geocities and then did not allow that. What if you used a imagehosting site and then used a freehost and just linked to the image host for the images?

Could that potentially work?

Yeah, that's what I've been doing right now when helping a friend start a personal free-hosted site. Just curious if there's any that do it all now :/ so much easier.

i'm surprised to hear that this is now the case. from what i remember, those sites only refused to work for external image linking - you couldn't load your images there and then link to them from a non-Angelfire site. they seriously don't do it that way anymore? wow, then the freebies are dying.

As far as I know you can set up imaging linking from any site. I have always used this for my auction postings.
