Default Basic mistakes webhosts make

Some basic mistakes I've seen webhosts make - feel free to add your own.

1. Billing not set up properly - so you can't even order from the site
2. Billing continues after cancellation
3. Client address not removed from e-mail alerts even when left
4. Not communicating with clients when there's a problem
5. Outsourcing support, who reply to tickets quickly, but fail to answer questions
7. Creating at least 3 different sets of lognis to use the service - Cpanel, Support, and Billing (many do this - integrate, damn you!!)
8. No social sills - replies to questions are met with single words or monotone sentence, ie Q. Can I do xxx? A: No you can't. etc

Anyway, that's to start with.

LOL - Do you realise how difficult these systems are to integrate! I'm actually working on this now, cPanel to Billing to Support - all from a single log-in, it's not as easy as it sounds!

The fact that the market doesn't generally offer a solution I'd say works against the interests of consumers.

It's so frustrating to have to work with different logins - there really is no need for it. Modernbill and Kayako especially should have woken up to this.

Another trade mark mistake is for new startups to offer hosting on the cheap. Instead of having 10 customers paying £10/month, they have 100 customers pay £1/month.

I know which one I'd rather have

Well I have finally managed to crack this - cpanel to billing to support desk, all from one log-in
It has only taken me 3 days!

Basically it's a backend database integration between RVskin for cpanel, Modernbill billing system and Cerberus support desk...

Nice

I don't think it's a major downfall of hosts though - I'm sure people won't be too put off by the fact that they've got to enter there details a few times.
