Default Avoid Getting Ripped Off By A Hosting Company

Chances are if you host multiple domains or websites you are spending too much money at your current hosting provider. Other hosting companies increase their profits by forcing you to create an additional hosting account every time you want to host a new domain or website. Let’s say you have five (5) websites and they each cost you $10.00 a month. It is obvious you are spending $50 a month to host those five (5) websites, but did you know that you are getting ripped off?
Hosting companies are smart and they take full advantage of you. If you’re an existing customer and they’ve got you hooked, they know you’ll spend an additional $10 a month to host an additional website. What they don’t tell you is they are ripping you off. Not only are you spending too much, but aren’t you tired of having to signup for a new account every time you want to host an additional website or domain? Aren’t you tired of having to keep up with login information for multiple accounts? And above all, why are you spending an additional $5, $10 and even $20 or more a month just to host an additional website?
You should be spending your time growing your business, not having to administer multiple accounts. You should be saving your money to foster the growth of your company. And you should know you’re getting a good deal with your hosting provider, not getting ripped off.
You can easily avoid getting ripped off by a hosting company…

If your host is ripping you off like this, then it's time to move

We sell accounts based on the resource usage, not the number of domains (other than the real budget end which are single domain). We enable reseller or add-on domain functionality on request.

If you want true multiple domain hosting, then you need to go for a reseller account so you can seperate the domains into multiple accounts.

It's worth noting though, if you have a mega cheap budget host, then you'll probably be on an overloaded server, so not be able to use all your unlimited disk space or bandwidth anyway even if you could add additional domains

I think so many of us just don't know about a hosting service's limitations or deceptive practices until we are faced with an outage or something bad happens. Seems like what we need to do is look for professionalism and then evaluate price afterward.

Another point to consider about multiple shared hosting Vs Reseller hosting is that as a "reseller" account holder YOU are expected to provide basic support for your "client" website's (even if they are your own). There are extended tools in the reseller control panel to allow you to diagnose & fix various problems - if you know how to use them.
On the other hand - If you host several domains under seperate shared hosting accounts then the hosting company is responsible for all support issues / problems.
The is the basic reason why reseller accounts are more cost effective - a hosting company will allow you to host multiple accounts under a reseller scheme for less than the price of multiple single accounts because they expect you to do some of the frontline support.

In this game, if you shop by price alone, then the chances of getting ripped off are high. People assume because the host claims to offer huge resources and 24/7 support and free this and free that that the host will provide them and you can use it all with no problem. Quality personal service always wins out over cut price in the long run.
