Default ASmallOrange reseller

Does anyone have experience using ASmallOrange for reseller hosting?
Their plans seem well priced, its only an extra $5/month to get a reseller account on top of the basic plans.

How is their uptime, speeds and service?

Hi McDuck and welcome to WHW.

As for A Small Orange - last I heard they had a pretty good reputation. I did at one point approach them for reseller accounts, but I was after one on each of their 10 IP ranges, and they wouldn't set me up like that.

I wouldn't at all have any problems approaching them, but on small purchases rather than volume.

They have a very strong reputation in several different web master communities. Their support is extremely strong. Right now I believe they are in the process of a datacenter move which will allow them some room to grow. They have had to actually recently limit account growth because of some of their issues.

I have one of their reselling accounts and have had no issues with it. Resource utilization is good on the server, and have had no problems. You will need to pay a little more per month for a reseller account, but otherwise no worries.

By the way, I went ahead and set up an account with them yesterday to test with them for a new site they are working on. Their pre-purchase support was great. I must be on a new server, because the load ranges between 0.02 and 0.00. So far I have been really impressed. And the connectivity seems good as well.

Yes, they wouldn't sign me up for multiple servers, because their policy was that once a server hit it's target allocation, no more accounts were added. New accounts on new servers only. Good policy really from a hosting client point of view, even if not a SEO client point of view.

Ah so they would not move you to different servers to fill in gaps? That is a bit of a unique policy as it seems servers, especially on volume hosts, tend to start off slow, built up to a peak and then taper off a bit in utilization as some accounts slow down usage.

Based on the recommendations here I got myself a ASmallOrange reseller account on Sunday. I will tell you how it performs when it's been up for a while.
