Tripwire new VWire
Tripwire has announced that VWire, a virtualisation management solution, will now have support for monitoring and VMware vSphere, allowing connections to be easily seen between configuration changes, critical events, and managers who made changes to the system.
Now administrators in the virtual world can also use vWire to monitor, automate, and manage vSphere environments while also allowing for users to upgrade from ESX to vSphere.
Dominic Rivera, a user of vWire and blogger said that vWire is key to having a monitored and maintained virtual environment since it allows users flexibility while also offering virtual intelligence that creates alerts that are useful while still being simply to use functionally.
The additional support for the product will extend into vSphere specific configurations such as vApps, Distributed Virtual Switches, OVF sectors, and property information.
Additionally, since there is a new field of ‘who’ within the system, uses will be able to monitor the database better.
Virtualisation evangelist Stephen Beaver for vWire said that with virtualisation becoming more complex, a product such as vWire from TripWire makes it easier for customers to see how their virtual environments are functioning.
Tripwire also announced that it can offer businesses a new flagship project called the Tripwire Enterprise 7/6 which broadens the scope of the company’s other configuration and auditing solutions.
It also provides support to 64 bit consoles, adds workflow options, and expands the coverage the company’s solutions can offer to real time agents.
