ElasticHosts cloud server service
ElasticHosts Ltd has announced the launch of its UK service provider infrastructure in the UK, with the intention of pursuing businesses who are looking for simpler cloud services than Amazon can provide.
The company plans to market its cloud server service, based on small scale web hosting solutions and for those who want on demand burst computing abilities.
CEO of ElasticHosts, Richard Davies, said that the company is targeting business from the SME sector because its system is easy to use and provides a great deal of flexibility to businesses who utilise the services.
Davies went on to say that the cloud service is designed as one user friendly interface, which has slider menus that show memory and disk capacities and server CPU for easy adjustments.
The cloud solutions can be run from any operating system found on a PC.
The cloud service is supported by two data centres that are located on both the West and South corners of London.
Davies commented that due to the fact that the infrastructure is found in the UK, ElasticHosts can guarantee that users will experience low latency and high bandwidth allocations.
The company plans to offer two pricing plans for customers: one pay as you go service for the occasional batch jobs that may need a burst compute cloud engine support system, and a monthly contract service for businesses that plan on hosting a web cluster or a mail server.
Pay as you go users will pay 4p an hour and monthly contacts begin at £30 per month.
Thos who want to test the waters many enjoy the free trial offered by the company of 100 hours and 1.024MB of memory.
