Hosting.com moving to new datacenter
Hosting.com is currently moving its headquarters from Kentucky into the metro area of Denver, after it was purchased by the Denver hosting company HostMySite.com.
The newly merged companies will operate out of 900 S Broadway in Denver, which is a building that is being redeveloped by the Lionstone Group of Houston.
Previously the office building was part of the Gates Rubber Co. plant.
The building will be updated to meet Hosting.com’s ‘Smart Design Standards’ and will be altered to create multiple power grids and a strong network topography.
The centre will allow for 10Gb per second redundant connectivity, which should aid bandwidth routing and also has the ability to provide for 200 watts per sq ft of power and cooling.
Art Zeile, the CEO of HostMySite, said that the newly merged organisation aims to grow large scale over the next 24 months with a central focus on Denver.
The newly remodelled building will house 13,000 sq ft. of offices for Hosting.com, as well as a 30,000 sq. ft. data centre, when it takes up occupancy towards the end of August.
Hosting had four data centres when it was purchased by HostMySite.com and will officially have five once the Denver centre is open.
The other four centres are located in Irvine and San Francisco, California, Newark, Delaware, and Louisville, Kentucky.
HostMySite was purchased in 2008 by Zeile and Joel Daly from Inflow Inc. of Denver.
