CoreXchange has said that it intends to include Force10 network switches into its data centre network infrastructure.
The hope is that it will give high-density scalability with the best of Ethernet connectivity.
Force10 will give the company 10 Gb Ethernet switching with high density Ethernet. They consider that this will make the system more secure and reliable.
Force10 switches are well-suited for supporting many bandwidth-intensive services especially in the areas of multimedia streaming, video on demand, and P2P and of course IPTV.
The company says that it will have less management needs as there will be fewer devices taking up less rack space as well as the resiliency features giving less downtime.
