Leeds University Looks To RedDot For CMS

After partnering up with Leeds Carnegie rugby club, Leeds Metropolitan University has looked to Open Text’s web solutions company, RedDot, to implement their new Content Management System (CMS).
RedDot is currently the number one independent provider of Enterprise Content Management software.
The up-side in the use of RedDot’s CMS, is that there will no longer be a need for outsoucing to third member parties for management of the new website for Leeds Carnegie - which means that the team of editors for the website will be able to manage and upload content themselves, which will result in less cost associated for Leeds, and no delay in published content being available on the site.
Some of the functionality brought in with the use of RedDot’s CMS is a new import manger which will allow the editors from Leeds Carnegie to set up an automatic upload of data such as scores, fixture lists, tables, and even RSS news feeds.
RedDot’s CMS is designed with both technical and non-technical users in mind.
The CMS software will allow all the editors from within Leeds Carnegie to alter the content and the over all look of the site, simply and quickly.
UK manager for RedDot, Andy Bellinger, issued a statement about the collaboration, in which he praised RedDot for its user-friendliness and went on to say that it was this function of the software that was so appealing for this kind of endeavour.
