The Internet provider Verio has made it known to the public that it has partnered with GlobalSign to release the first set of “one-click” SSL Certificates. Using this method, it is now possible to immediatelyy buy and renew Secure Sockets Layer Certificates.

SSL Certificates are needed by web commerce sites to ensure the data they are transmitting is secure, and provides a way for information to be shared in a confidential manner. With the use of a SSL Certificate, consumers feel they can trust that there data is being kept private.

Before Verio’s new “one-click” process, it was difficult and somewhat tedious for companies to renew their site’s certificates. However, in this partnership with GlobalSign, the problem surrounding difficult verification and installation procedures have been greatly reduced. Thus it is possible to renew in only a matter of minutes.
