The Planet Implements IPv6

March 31, 2008 · Print This Article

Information has been recently announced about the new IPV6 offered by the well known Internet host The Planet. The current Internet protocol used by The Planet is IPv4 but this has been in operation since the 1980s. With the addition of new address space, and increase support for mobiles, The Planet has developed a more secure environment.

In order to implement IPv6, The Planet has teamed up with NTT America Inc, that will be responsible for overseeing the technology on the network. NTT America has been involved in internet protocol technology since the mid 1990s.
