VeriSign integrates RatePoint Program
Customer feedback management provider RatePoint and Internet infrastructure services provider VeriSign announced on Monday that VeriSign will incorporate RatePoint’s online reputation management and customer feedback platform as a value-added offering for customers to purchase as part of VeriSign’s retail SSL certificate.
This latest agreement illustrates VeriSign’s pledge to assisting online businesses develop consumer assurance and expectation by enabling their consumers to rate their general fulfillment in doing business with them.
Customer response services are by no means a new idea. Businesses have long been held responsible by organizations like the membership-based Better Business Bureau, which acts as a commonly trusted liaison between consumers and businesses to decide disagreements to smooth the progress of communication and to offer information on ethical business practices. Furthermore, consumers previously have posted ratings and reviews on independent consumer-driven review sites such as Yelp or Angie’s List.
RatePoint implements a comparable idea by giving businesses its own channel to collect and respond to customer feedback. The company says it bridges the gap between consumers and businesses by offering a fair, balanced and simple method of connecting with customers, to resolve possible disputes and share reviews.
