GlobalSign Launches China Office

IT security solutions provider GlobalSign announced on Monday it has opened a recently established office in China, increasing the company’s global reach. The company additionally has offices in the US, UK, China, Japan and Brussels, Belgium.

As China experiences a momentous transformation, becoming further connected to the global economy in addition to placing stronger importance on science and technology, GlobalSign saw this change as an prospect to strengthen its business presence in China.

Ichiro Chujo, GlobalSign Group CEO stated “In the Asia Pacific region, China’s economy has demonstrated rapid development and provides huge potential for investment and expansion. The company entirely re-branded itself last year with the support of its new parent company GMO Internet. Releasing new products, solutions and systems, GlobalSign says it has positioned itself to compete directly with VeriSign under its new banner.

GlobalSign announced last month it has attained an inspiring 180 percent growth rate in 2007 for its SSL certificate products.
