The Green Grid Membership for Degree Controls

Data center cooling solutions provider Degree Controls announced its membership in The Green Grid, a global association of over 150 companies resolute on progressing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems.
DegreeC, an active member of The Alliance to Save Energy, says it has endeavoured to boost understanding of the issue of data center energy consumption, and in 2007, held several seminars resolute on reducing data center energy consumption. Additionally the company added to the Environmental Protection Agency’s report on “Server and Data Center Efficiency.
Eric Birch, executive VP and GM of DegreeC’s data center division stated “With data center energy consumption already consuming two percent of the nation’s electrical energy and on track to doubling in the next five years, The Green Grid is serving the important purpose of bringing the industry together to help solve this growing problem. DegreeC is proud to be a member.”
From the time of its sophisticated cooling system launch, AdaptivCool, DegreeC says it has assisted numerous corporations and universities in decreasing their data center energy consumption and costs.
AdaptivCool can reduce data center energy use by up to thirty percent, says DegreeC.
