ZXTM Global Load Balancer has been short-listed for Network Computing’s ‘Product of the year’ award, application traffic management software vendor Zeus Technology announced on Wednesday.
ZXTM GLB, launched last June, is a DNS-based global server load balancing system and is offered as both software and a hardware device.
The solution, which allows organizations to size their Internet-enabled services to multiple data centers works in conjunction with an Internet traffic manager. By design it helps data centers improve their reliability, usability and performance, creating an enhanced experience for users by directing them to the best performing or contiguous data center.
Paul Brennan, CEO and chairman of Zeus stated “Zeus is proud to be short listed alongside other industry leaders in this category. The product is unique in that, unlike most Global Server Load Balancer products available today, ZXTM GLB is not tied to a particular load balancing platform. It functions equally well alongside any load balancer and other infrastructure products and is very easy to deploy and use. ZXTM GLB also provides a far more comprehensive and engaging visualization of actual traffic than any other product available.”
Zeus announced last week it signed a joint venture with mobile security software provider AdaptiveMobile.
