Managed hosting provider NaviSite has launched a new collection of services to deal with compliance requirements for the payment card industry data security standard in an announcement on Monday. NaviSite will present its PCI services at the National Retail Federation’s 97th Annual Convention and Expo in New York City from January 14 to 15.
NaviSite states that its payment card industry offerings include pre-audit assessment and remediation forecasting, maintenance for its customers’ annual PCI audits and a fully integrated hosting solution that tackles key PCI security requirements on a global scale.
NaviSite’s PCI services are explicitly intended to deal with PCI DSS requirements including building and maintaining a protected network, protecting cardholder data, sustaining a weakness management program, executing well-built access control processes, frequently monitoring and testing networks and maintaining an Information Security Policy, says the company.
Mark Clayman, senior VP of hosting for NaviSite stated “NaviSite recognized a significant need from our customers who were scrambling under tight deadlines to meet new PCI DSS requirements, especially from businesses who are constrained in terms of the resources and skill sets required to identify PCI compliance gaps and remediate. Our PCI Compliance services are designed to provide end-to-end support to eliminate exposure to their business in this area, so that our customers are assured of a holistic solution from a single partner trusted in the online space.”
As a result of unanticipated problems in a planned system migration of Alabanza customers acquired by NaviSite, NaviSite recently experienced a prolonged outage that on occasion affected up to 165,000 sites.
